Job summary

Joby Aviation is seeking a highly organized and technically strong professional to join the Avionics Systems team in Santa Cruz, CA, to support development and certification of avionics and lighting systems. You will work on flight deck displays, comms, surveillance equipment, and lighting, driving validation from development through FAA type certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering (Aero, Electrical or Mechanical) preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills required.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, lean/scrappy environment.
• Understanding of disciplined systems engineering processes and requirements management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute system test procedures for Avionics Systems.
• Support flight test with Avionics testing and evaluations through development, company, and certification tests.
• Collaborate with Flight Test and lab teams to implement fault injection and data capture equipment.
• Investigate flight test and Integrated Test Lab issues and refine system requirements.
