Joby Aviation seeks a Flight Research Senior Systems Engineer to own the architecture, integration, and life-cycle success of avionics systems. You will collaborate with software, hardware and GNC teams to ensure requirements, development, certification and entry into service align with program needs.

The role requires a strong aerospace background, experience with aircraft systems and industry certification, and the ability to self-manage in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical discipline
• 8+ years of aerospace or related industry work experience
• Solid understanding of aircraft systems, system development, and certification processes
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to self-manage and adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and certification of Avionics and lighting systems and sub-systems
• Ensure successful design validation and verification
• Work with FAA Engineers and Joby DERs to ensure compliance with federal airworthiness regulations
