Job summary

Astranis invites applications for an Avionics Associate Engineer internship in San Francisco, CA. This twelve-week summer program targets graduates planning to pursue a Master's and offers hands-on work on flight hardware and software used on our satellites.

You will join the avionics team to design, test, and validate components, write evaluation code, and contribute to hardware bring-up in a collaborative lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering, or equivalent.
• Interest in spacecraft systems and subsystems.
• Hands-on hardware development in fast-paced settings.
• Experience with Python and/or C++.
• Ability to design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
• US Citizenship or Green Card.

Responsibilities

• Work with the avionics team to build and test flight hardware.
• Design test equipment for stressed-condition validation.
• Bring up and debug designs in the lab.
• Write code to evaluate performance and automate testing.
• Assist with low-level software interfacing with spacecraft subsystems.
