Job summary

Astranis is seeking an Electrical Integration Intern - Avionics for Winter 2027 in San Francisco. The internship lasts twelve weeks and is an hourly role designed for students enrolled in a four-year university.

You will join an interdisciplinary team to design, build, and test satellite hardware and software, gaining hands-on experience with test equipment and cross-functional engineering teams. Onsite participation is required five days a week.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent).
• Hands-on hardware development with fast-paced design and development.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize.
• Must be onsite 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test satellite hardware and software as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, RF, and Propulsion teams to develop test plans and procedures.
• Learn to use test equipment (thermal chambers, vibration tables, DAQs, oscilloscopes) to execute tests.
• Coordinate assembly, integration and environmental test efforts.
• Help solve complex electrical, software, and mechanical problems in an integrated system.
