Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies Corp. is seeking a Summer 2027 Avionics Associate Engineer to join the avionics team for a 12-week, salaried internship. You will work on hard problems related to flight hardware, write code to automate tests, and help bring up subsystems in a lab setting.

The role emphasizes hands-on hardware development, test equipment design, and collaboration with engineers in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor’s in EE/CE and US work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering, with plans to pursue graduate studies.
Interest in learning about spacecraft systems and subsystems
Passion for hardware development in fast-paced environments
Experience with Python and/or C++
Demonstrated ability to design, build, and test hardware from scratch
US Citizenship or Green Card

Responsibilities

Work with the avionics engineering team to build and test flight hardware
Design test equipment to validate designs under stressed conditions
Bring up and debug designs in the lab
Write code to evaluate performance and automate satellite hardware testing
Assist with low level software to interface with spacecraft subsystems
