Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Avionics Software Intern to work directly with engineering teams on projects supporting our spaceflight programs. Interns will contribute to software development across requirements, design, coding, testing, and maintenance for avionics hardware and software in a collaborative environment.

We value hands-on experience, mentorship, and engagement in events to learn about other parts of the organization.

Qualifications

Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Currently enrolled in a graduate degree program with at least one semester remaining after the internship.
Available to work full time for a minimum of 15 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework.
Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Passion for mission and vision.

Responsibilities

Work with Blue engineering teams on avionics software projects.
Contribute to the software development life cycle including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintenance.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand their needs and design solutions that accelerate all phases of vehicle development, testing, and operations.
Troubleshoot and fix software issues at multiple levels, including both server-side and client side.
