Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Software Engineer for the TCMA team in Huntsville, AL, with onsite preference and potential Cedar Rapids, IA location. You will design and implement Agile software solutions for avionics, focusing on C++ and Python across military applications.

The role requires a STEM degree with 2+ years of related experience and familiarity with DOORS/JIRA/JAMA/Bamboo/Confluence. 5% travel and a DoD Secret clearance are often required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with 2+ years of related experience.
• Experience in software architecture, design and development using C/C++, Java, Ada and Python.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate software in C++ and Python within an Agile framework.
• Collaborate with engineers on planning, design, and development of military technology.
• Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate early software prototypes.
• Independently perform multiple tasks with mentoring.
• Implement requirements, design, and verification per software development processes.
• Contribute to schedule-driven decisions with teammates.
• Be motivated to learn new technologies and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Travel up to 5% as needed.
