Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, seeks an IPT Lead to drive avionics product development from concept through production. You’ll manage budgets, schedules, and technical execution across a cross-functional team, ensuring subsystems meet mass, power, and communication requirements.

The role requires guiding programs through PDR, CDR, qualification and production with a focus on cost, schedule, risk, and performance.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of engineering experience on new product development projects through hardware and software development, test and qualification.
• Experience as a Responsible Engineering Authority (REA), IPT Lead, CAM, or Systems Engineer in the Space sector.
• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers; ability to influence cross-functional decisions.
• Experience presenting information to senior leadership and external customers.
• Experience with Earned Value Management and project management fundamentals (scope, budget, schedule, risk).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical and programmatic focal point for delivery of products to customers on time, on budget, on quality.
• Drive day-to-day team execution and upcoming milestone progress, resolving blockers.
• Coordinate with technical leads on scope, proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments.
• Ensure performance budgets (power, mass, thermal, comms) are defined, tracked and met.
• Provide inputs into EAC, EVMS updates and variance analysis.
• Lead RCCA closure and embed lessons learned into development processes.
• Status subsystem deliverables to program management, customers and stakeholders.
• Lead smooth transition from engineering design to production.
• Oversee verification plans, procedures, results, and reports; monitor system performance.
