Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an engineer to join the Core Avionics team within the Lunar Permanence unit. You will contribute to avionics hardware for lunar vehicles, including flight computers, I/O units, embedded controllers, and related electrical hardware.

This hands-on role covers requirements through design, build, integration, test, verification, qualification, production, and sustainment, with collaboration across hardware, software, and manufacturing teams. A strong safety focus is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree in a related technical field.
• 2+ years in design, build, integration, test, or verification of avionics or electronic hardware.
• Foundational knowledge of analog and digital circuits, datasheets, schematics, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, or logic analyzers.
• Familiarity with requirements reviews and hardware verification activities.

Responsibilities

• Support the development lifecycle of avionics hardware products under guidance from senior engineers.
• Perform hands-on hardware integration, functional testing, and troubleshooting using lab equipment.
• Partner with electrical hardware, mechanical, embedded software, FPGA, controls, systems, test, manufacturing, and mission assurance teams to resolve issues.
• Support hardware manufacturers and suppliers during fabrication, assembly, inspection, and acceptance activities; document build discrepancies.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, including test procedures, reports, verification evidence, and issue-tracking records.
