Job summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Hardware Design Assurance Engineer II to help ensure the integrity, reliability, and regulatory compliance of aerospace products, focusing on inflight entertainment systems and related hardware.

You will work with design, manufacturing, supply chain, and field service teams to drive RCCA, CAPA, and quality improvements throughout the product lifecycle, including design reviews and safety analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5+ years of engineering experience.
• Hands-on design engineering experience in product development.
• Strong hardware systems understanding and cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with airborne standards such as DO-254/DO-160/RTCA/FAA/EASA.
• Willingness to travel up to 25–50%.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and verification activities to ensure quality from planning to design release.
• Develop and maintain quality verification plans for new products development.
• Review designs and RCCA results to ensure Safety compliance throughout lifecycle.
• Collaborate with design engineering to mature product quality across the lifecycle.
• Drive RCCA/CAPA for internal issues, supplier defects, and field problems.
• Interface with suppliers and service partners to meet quality requirements.
• Analyze quality performance data to identify trends and lead improvement projects.
• Drive process improvements to enhance effectiveness, efficiency, and safety compliance.
