Job summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design, sustain and test core IFE hardware LRUs with emphasis on power electronics. You’ll work with engineering, marketing, product planning and quality teams to meet schedules and resolve issues.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering with 5–10 years in electronics, mechanics and circuit design, plus knowledge of FAA/regulatory requirements. Strong communication and project planning skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required; MS in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 5-10 years’ experience in mathematics, electronics, mechanics and circuit design.
• Knowledge of FAA or equivalent regulated industry requirements.
• Strong knowledge of power supply topologies, inverters, converters and power electronics.

Responsibilities

• Design, sustain, test, and release core IFE hardware LRUs with focus on power electronics.
• Provide guidance to other engineers in LRU design, layout, analysis, evaluation, prototype build and testing.
• Coordinate tests and analyze data to ensure compliance with specs and product requirements.
• Verify embedded firmware and higher-level software functionality.
• Lead design and development discussions with cross-functional teams and management.
