Job summary

Actalent seeks an Avionics Certification Engineer to lead FAA certification activities and STC programs for avionics integration on fixed-wing aircraft. The role requires coordinating with FAA and ODA, and managing certification from concept to approval.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in avionics certification, Part 23/25 experience, and strong documentation and testing coordination skills. This is a fully onsite role based in Miami, FL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline is required.
• 4+ years supporting aircraft certification, avionics integration, or STC programs.
• Experience with FAA Part 23/25 and DO-178/DO-254 knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead FAA Part 23 and Part 25 STC programs for avionics installations.
• Manage certification projects from concept through FAA approval and STC issuance.
• Coordinate with FAA personnel, ODA reps, operators, and stakeholders.
• Develop certification plans, compliance plans, matrices, and schedules.
• Prepare certification documentation including plans, checklists, and reports.
• Support testing, conformity inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Maintain schedules and provide status updates to program leadership.
