Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 9+ years of experience in aviation certification or aerospace systems engineering.
• Experience supporting or obtaining STCs, TSOAs, PMA programs or major alteration approvals.
• Experience working with Part 23/25/27/29 aircraft and FAA processes.
• DER/DAR or FAA certification experience; ability to interface with FAA personnel and ODA management.

Responsibilities

• Lead certification programs from concept through FAA approval.
• Develop certification strategies for avionics systems, aircraft modifications, and new product installations.
• Serve as primary interface with FAA Certification Branches, FSDOs, DERs, and ODA units.
• Prepare, review, and approve certification documents (Plans, Checklists, Papers, MCCs, FAA packages).
• Lead STC certification efforts for surveillance, flight/data recorders, and displays avionics product lines.
• Mentor junior engineers and support audits, FAA evaluations, and continuous process improvements.
