Garmin Ltd. is seeking a Design Certification Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in the Greater Kansas City area. You will contribute to avionics certification under a mentor, assisting with FAA submissions and testing as part of a full‑time internship.

Responsibilities include developing requirements, trace matrices, EMC testing, and supporting design/verification of avionics hardware and software, with emphasis on DO-254 processes and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a relevant engineering degree with a 3.0 GPA minimum.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Under guidance, contribute to FAA certification documents and reports.
• Assist with DO-254/DO-160 related tasks and tests.
• Develop requirements, trace matrices, and safety analyses.
• Coordinate product development reviews and EMI/EMC testing.
