Job summary

Garmin is seeking a full-time EMC Engineer Intern at its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. You will assist with the design and testing of integrated avionics systems for aircraft and perform EMC testing in specialized chambers, supporting FAA certification efforts.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, learn EMC test standards, help prepare test data and reports, and gain hands-on experience with RF equipment and software automation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Electrical, Computer or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Excellent academics with GPA ≥ 3.0 as a general rule.

Responsibilities

• Learn how avionics systems are used in cockpit and how components communicate.
• Assist with EMC testing processes and documentation to ensure certification requirements are met.
• Study and apply EMC test standards to create test plans and perform certification testing.
