Job summary

Garmin is seeking a full-time Aircraft Systems Intern at its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.

You will assist in electrical installation design for Garmin integrated avionics, including wiring diagrams and harness drawings for G5000 installations on GA and business aircraft. Key tasks include preparing installation documentation, supporting FAA submissions, and assisting in certification test plans and reports, while gaining hands-on experience in avionics system design and

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
GPA of 3.0 or higher is typical for consideration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Detail-oriented with proactive work style and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and verification of new installation documentation.
Assist in the generation of certification ground and bench test plans.
Assist in creation of certification test reports and other compliance data for FAA submissions.
Assist in electrical installation of Garmin integrated avionics system.
Develop wiring diagrams, wire harness drawings, or other data for installation or STC projects.
Assist installation technicians in troubleshooting installation wiring interconnects.
