Job summary

Garmin Ltd. in the Greater Kansas City area is seeking a full-time EMC Engineer Intern to assist with design and testing of integrated avionics systems for aircraft, and to perform EMC testing in specialized chambers under FAA certification efforts.

You will work with cross-functional teams, learn EMC test standards, prepare test plans and reports, and help with RF immunity and lightning susceptibility testing while documenting results.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Excellent academics (GPA >= 3.0).
• Demonstrated strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with EMC testing and documentation for certification.
• Support design and testing of integrated avionics systems.
• Perform EMC test planning and report generation.
• Coordinate product testing reviews and act on feedback.
• Assist with software automation and verification efforts.
• Interface with engineers and factory personnel on testing.
