Job summary

Astranis invites ambitious students to join our Avionics Associate Engineer program for Winter 2027. Associates work on hard hardware/software problems in a satellite environment, with twelve-week, salaried assignments designed to prepare you for full-time roles.

You will collaborate with avionics engineers to build and test flight hardware, write code for evaluation and automation, and gain hands-on experience that could lead to a career at Astranis after graduation.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in electrical or computer engineering (or equivalent).
• Plan to pursue a graduate degree after your time at Astranis.
• Hands-on hardware design and development experience.
• Experience with Python and/or C++.
• US Citizenship or Green Card required.

Responsibilities

• Build and test flight hardware with the avionics engineering team.
• Design test equipment to validate designs under varied conditions.
• Bring up and debug designs in the lab.
• Write code to evaluate performance and automate testing of satellite hardware.
• Assist with low-level software interfacing with spacecraft subsystems.
