Job summary

The Structures Company is seeking an Aviation Wire Harness Assembly contractor in El Segundo, CA. The role focuses on soldering per J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610, PCB assembly, wiring harness integration, and QA testing in an aerospace production environment.

You will read blueprints, use calipers and multimeters, perform rework, and document nonconforming materials. A 4+ year aviation background and ability to lift 50 lbs are required; bonus potential exists with Tier 1 supplier access.

Qualifications

• Soldering to J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards.
• Ability to read engineering blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Troubleshooting and identifying defects in assemblies.
• Documenting nonconforming materials per procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs soldering including through-hole and surface-mount techniques.
• Carries out PCBA rework, component replacement, and troubleshooting on circuit boards.
• Identifies and corrects solder defects, damaged traces, and issues per rework procedures.
• Performs assembly, tear-downs, inspections, and testing of LRUs and mechanical components.
• Reads manufacturing blueprints and test specifications; uses hand tools for PMA parts testing.
