Acro Service Corp seeks a Cable & Wire Harness Technician for our Avionics Development Center in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The role supports fabrication, testing, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems on-site.
Under supervision, you will interpret engineering specs and blueprints, read wiring diagrams, and apply ESD, FOE and FOD controls. The role may focus on wire harness fabrication or circuit card repairs based on your skills.
We are looking for an Cable & Wire Harness Technician to support our Avionics Development Center. As a member of the Avionics Development Center you'll get to support critical fabrication and testing efforts in both a production and development environment. This position will serve on-site at our facility in Rancho Bernardo, CA.
Under close supervision, performs routine technical functions related to the support of development engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and Electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models or specialized test equipment. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electronic systems, components, and equipment. Diagnose and repair circuit boards, wiring, and other electronic components. Maintain compliance with all Foreign Object Elimination (FOE) and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) safety, quality, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) standards.
This position will either focus on wire harness fabrication or detailed soldering applications (i.e., Circuit Card repairs) based on the hired candidate's skillset and experience.
4 years of related experience or electronics training equivalent to 2 years of technical trade school or military technical school, Experience fabricating wire harnesses or circuit card assemblies.
Ability to interpret engineering specs, drawings, diagrams and blueprints
Able to read drawings / wiring diagrams, previous government experience, experience with ESD (electrostatic discharge) and FOD (foreign object damage) control. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Current or previously held certifications for wire harness fabrication (IPC-WHMA-A-620) or soldering and circuit card assembly/rework (IPC J-STD-001 / IPC-7711/7721).
