Job summary

Skyryse seeks an Electrical and Wiring Technician in El Segundo, CA to build wire harnesses for flight systems. You will work from schematics to assemble to IPC/WHMA-A-620 and perform thorough testing with oscilloscopes and DMMs.

Strong attention to detail and adherence to IPC standards are essential. Responsibilities include producing harnesses, soldering to J-STD-001, inspecting first articles, and collaborating with engineers in the lab to drive quality and reliability in critical avionics

Qualifications

4+ years in electrical assembly, harness fabrication, or avionics installation.
Able to build to IPC/WHMA-A-620, solder to J-STD-001, inspect to IPC-A-610.
DC harness wiring with D-Sub, Micro-D, and circular connectors with crimping tools.
Reads schematics and interconnect diagrams with minimal supervision.
Experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, and similar test equipment.

Responsibilities

Build prototype and production wire harnesses and subassemblies to IPC criteria.
Prep, splice, tie, lace, and dress wire using calibrated tools.
Hand solder electrical and electronic assemblies to J-STD-001 standards.
Perform first article inspection against drawings and wire lists.
Diagnose failures with oscilloscopes and DMMs, document findings and corrective action.
Work from schematics and interconnect drawings; report discrepancies to engineering.
Analyze test data and recommend changes to components or harness design.
