Job summary

IDS International in Muscatatuck, Indiana is seeking a UAS Engineer II to support integration, operation and engineering of Unmanned Aircraft Systems across training, test and operational environments. The role emphasizes small UAS platforms, ground control systems, and payload integration.

The ideal candidate holds a related bachelor's degree, active security clearance, 5 years of UAS experience in DoD or defense contracting, and familiarity with FAA Part 107 and spectrum coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• 5+ years operating or engineering UAS in DoD/defense contractor environment.
• Experience with small UAS platforms, RF links, and payload integration.
• Familiarity with FAA Part 107 regulations and UAS airspace coordination.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, integrate, and engineer UAS.
• Configure small UAS platforms, ground control, and payloads.
• Support RF communications links and UAS systems.
• Assist with integration of UAS capabilities into training scenarios and exercises.
• Assist with testing, evaluation, and validation of UAS systems.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to support mission and training objectives.
• Support UAS airspace coordination and frequency coordination activities.
• Maintain technical documentation and troubleshoot systems.
• Provide recommendations related to UAS operations and system integration.
