Job summary

Ascent Flight Training Limited is seeking a Training Manager for Basic Flying Training to lead planning, scheduling and operational support delivering BFT at RAF Valley. You will work at a busy operational site, coordinating with customers, supply chain partners and instructional teams to turn long-term requirements into executable programmes and daily flying output.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of schedulers and operations staff and build strong stakeholder relationships to ensure the flying training programme is planned and forecast effectively.
• Ensure aircraft, instructors, infrastructure and people required to deliver the programme are available and aligned to demand.
• Monitor students’ progress safely, efficiently and to the required standard within planned timescales.
• Identify, understand and mitigate operational risk with clear communication of performance, issues, risks and opportunities based on evidence.
• Lead, coach and develop the scheduling and operations team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the delivery of contractual and operational performance objectives across the BFT enterprise and share best practices with other training sites.
• Demonstrate strong planning, data analysis and reporting to drive decision-making and performance improvements.
