Job summary

SpaceX is recruiting a Starlink Aviation Test Specialist to contribute to the design, production and deployment of test systems used in Starlink aviation products. You will collaborate with design and certification engineers and FAA partners to enable global aviation access to the world wide web.

The role involves assembling and testing electromechanical equipment, wiring harnesses, PCBs, test racks and environmental simulators, plus data collection and troubleshooting for FAA-approved tests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with mechanical/structural/fluid/electrical systems.
• 2+ years experience performing electronic testing and inspection using portable measuring devices.
• Preferred: production or engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, procure and perform mechanical/electrical test system assembly and activation for Starlink aviation platforms.
• Build wire harnesses, PCBAs, test racks, robotics, and environmental equipment.
• Operate and report data from tests including vibration, thermal, RF to FAA standards.
• Ensure product quality and conformance to specs.
• Support production, engineering, qualification tests, troubleshooting.
• Manage first article builds and supplier/vendor coordination.
• Develop maintenance plans for production equipment.
