Job summary

Leidos Inc. is seeking a highly organized Technical Writer II to support the United Kingdom National Airspace System Replacement (UK NAS-R) program.

You will update and structure extensive technical manuals and collaborate with the Configuration Management team to maintain baseline version control using Microsoft Word. Responsibilities include revising manuals, organizing the documentation library, enforcing CM workflows, and ensuring consistency in formatting and acronyms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–4 years of technical writing experience in government/defense/aerospace.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and MS Office; ability to manage complex, multi-page documents.
• Knowledge of configuration management concepts and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Revise, edit, and format manuals, procedures, and guides based on engineering inputs.
• Catalog and organize the technical documentation library; ensure searchability and tagging.
• Work with CM team to enforce document control, approvals, and version updates.
• Use Word features to maintain long, structured manuals with tables of contents and cross-references.
• Proofread for formatting, clarity, and acronym consistency before submission.
