Job summary

Leidos LLC is seeking a highly organized Technical Writer II to join our Technical Manuals Team supporting aviation automation initiatives for the UK NAS-R program. Your focus will be updates, revisions, and the structural organization of our documentation library, ensuring strict baseline version control in collaboration with the CM team.

You will use MS Word to produce clean, compliant manuals, format complex documents with multi-level numbering, and conduct QA proofreading for clarity and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 3–4 years of technical writing in defense/aerospace or federal contracting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and MS Office; able to handle multi-page documents.
• Understanding of baseline control, version tracking, and CM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Revise, edit, and format manuals and procedures from engineering inputs.
• Catalog and organize the digital and physical documentation library with tagging and searchability.
• Enforce document control; route documents through approvals; manage check-in/check-out and version updates.
• Use advanced Word features to maintain large, structured manuals with TOCs and cross-references.
• Proofread for formatting, clarity, and acronym consistency.
