DAS Aviation is seeking a Composite Technician to repair parts using wet layup and prepregs, with work in a clean room and curing ovens/autoclaves. You will perform bonding and curing processes, ensure quality, and adhere to FAA guidelines while supporting a fast-paced shop environment.
Responsibilities include using precision measuring tools, operating hand and power tools, and maintaining shop facilities. Strong English communication and reliability are essential for daily operations.

What you can expect as a Composite Technician at DAS Aviation: As a Composite technician repairs parts/components by means of "Wet Layup" and "Prepreg". Some repairs must be facilitated using a clean room and cured by means of an autoclave or controlled oven. Types of Composite bonding methods utilized in repair may consist of: Co-curing, Co-bonding, secondary bonding, metal bonding, with adhesives in liquid form, and film.
You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
Your Education:
A High school diploma or equivalent. Airframe and Powerplant License is not required, but welcome.
A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
Your Experience:
Journeyman: 0-5 years of experience as composite technician.
Master: 5+ years’ experience as a composite technician.
Your Initiative:
We’re looking for team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common.
Your Sense of Responsibility:
Attend work every day as scheduled; opportunities to work overtime as workflow permits.
Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
Maintain customer oriented work habits.
Work under supervision of assigned Team Leader.
Work is performed in controlled environments in industrial warehouses. Multiple Departments to include: Teardown/Evaluation, Nacelles, Composite.
Personal hand tools supplied by the mechanic. Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment.
