Job summary

SimVentions in the defense sector is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for acquisition, development and sustainment of aviation programs. This full-time, on-site role requires presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD.

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required; a Top Secret clearance may be required after start. US citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Qualifications

• At least ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support the ECP process and prepare SOWs/CDRLs.
