Job summary

VSE is seeking a Supplier Business Development Principal to lead the growth of its supplier portfolio in the aviation aftermarket. You will shape enterprise strategy, guide senior leadership, and drive high-stakes negotiations across global Distribution and MRO programs.

The role emphasizes strategic vision, governance, and collaboration across Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and Legal. It is fully remote within the continental United States with up to 60% travel expectations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, aviation management, engineering, or related field (or 3 additional years of specific work experience).
• 10 years of experience in supplier business development, strategic sourcing, or supplier management in aviation/aerospace.
• 7–9 years of leadership experience.
• Proven experience leading complex negotiations, including sole-source and multi-year agreements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own enterprise strategy for supplier growth and new Distribution and MRO partnerships.
• Lead high-value supplier negotiations and manage risk to protect enterprise margin.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to managers and analysts supporting supplier development.
