Job summary

VSE is seeking a Senior Supplier Business Development Principal to lead the enterprise supplier growth portfolio, spanning Distribution and MRO partnerships worldwide. You will shape strategy, drive high‑value negotiations, and establish governance for supplier campaigns across the organization.

You will mentor and supervise colleagues as the function scales, partner with executive leadership on key decisions, and travel up to 60% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years in supplier business development, strategic sourcing or related field in aviation/aerospace.
• 7–9 years of leadership experience with a track record.
• Experience presenting to and influencing C-suite and board audiences.
• Advanced MS Office proficiency; travel up to 60%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own enterprise supplier growth strategy for Distribution and MRO.
• Lead complex, multi-stakeholder campaigns and negotiations.
• Draft business cases and financial models for investment decisions.
• Collaborate with Legal/Compliance to structure risk-mitigated agreements.
• Represent VSE at industry events and executive reviews.
• Provide guidance and supervision to Managers, Senior Managers, and analysts.
