Job summary

MROH seeks a Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to lead the safety program across departments and ensure regulatory compliance. This role drives the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety initiatives and QA processes within Flightstar SMS.

Responsibilities include coordinating with FAA and international authorities, performing hazard analyses, leading training, and managing the QA team and documentation library.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation or Safety discipline; 3+ years in aviation safety or equivalent experience.
• English; Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of air carrier operations disciplines and administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Project, Visio and SharePoint; strong database management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer the Flightstar SMS in compliance with FAA 14 CFR Part 5, AC 120-92B and ICAO 9859.
• Lead risk working groups and Safety Review Boards (SRB).
• Manage relationships with FAA, ICAO, EASA and other authorities.
• Identify hazards, perform risk assessments, and support safety analyses.
• Prepare monthly audit scope, findings, root causes, and corrective actions.
• Oversee QA program, internal evaluation, and SMS database management.
