Job summary

FEAM Aero in Erlanger, KY invites applications for a full-time safety and quality role focused on developing and implementing the Safety Management System. You will help create occupational safety programs, lead hazard analyses, and drive risk reduction across the aviation maintenance environment.

The position requires a degree in Aviation Safety and 5+ years in aviation safety, with OSHA/EPA knowledge and 14 CFR Part 145/121 familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Safety or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in aviation safety or equivalent experience.
• OSHA/EPA regulations knowledge and 14 CFR Part 145 & 121 experience.
• A&P or Commercial Pilot certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist VP of Safety & Quality in SMS development and implementation.
• Develop and implement occupational safety programs.
• Manage change management, risk assessments and safety analysis.
• Maintain hazard identification and risk assessment processes.
• Investigate hazards and ensure mitigation.
• Track safety data with database software.
• Review practices and inspect facilities for safety.
• Create and maintain ERP and emergency drills.
• Provide safety training to employees.
• Monitor company activities impacting safety.
• Propose safety policies and oversee implementation.
• Process safety reports as gatekeeper.
• Conduct annual safety performance evaluations.
