Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is hiring a Gulfstream Sheet Metal Technician in East Alton, IL. This full-time on-site role demands knowledge of turbine aircraft structures, blueprints, and fastening systems; supervision of crews may be required.

You will perform drilling, riveting, cutting, sealant work, and maintenance of shop facilities, while adhering to FAA guidelines and safety rules. Valid A&P license is preferred and a valid driver’s license is ideal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; A&P license preferred.
• Prior sheet metal experience preferred.
• Basic to advanced knowledge of turbine aircraft structures and blueprints is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, and cutting on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling; follow safety rules.
