Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have at least four years of verifiable experience.

• Ability to read blueprints and understand complex assemblies.
• Must obtain Secret Clearance within nine months and pass background checks.
• Drug-free workplace and post-offer substance testing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate structural damage to aircraft sheet metal systems or items.
• Examine aircraft and metal structures to locate cracks or holes.
• Determine repairs to restore original strength of components.
• Plan work from blueprints, sketches, or work orders.
• Fabricate, join, and install metal parts and assemblies.
• Use measuring tools to determine curves, angles, and pitch.
• Work with magnesium, honeycomb, aluminum and related alloys.
• Perform repairs by manufacturing or replacing defective parts.
• Other duties as assigned.
