Job summary

HHS Aviation is seeking a Safety Compliance Manager to develop, implement, and monitor safety, security, and regulatory compliance across operations at the Windsor Locks (BDL) location. The role emphasizes hazard identification and continuous improvement within a safety-first culture.

The position requires 2–5 years of safety management experience, FAA/OSHA knowledge, and willingness to relocate for promotion opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years of safety management experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Lift 25–75 lb.
  • Extensive airport operational experience and knowledge of cargo acceptance, security, and handling requirements.
  • Knowledge of FAA and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Safety Focus and Regulatory Compliance in all HHS Aviation operations.
  • Implement new strategies to continuously improve the safety and quality culture.
  • Assist with new station operations start-ups and ensure adherence to requirements.
  • Monitor safety through audits, self-inspection, safety performance indicators, and compliance reports; recommend improvements.
  • Conduct incident investigations and risk assessments and facilitate risk-based decisions.
  • Conduct station assessments and develop corrective action plans; identify hazards and manage risk assessments.
  • Conduct training compliance reviews for all locations and report non-compliance; develop corrective actions.
  • Provide safety reports to executive leaders covering trends, issues, and escalations.

The role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring safety, security, and operational compliance with regulatory entities, customer requirements, and company standards. The manager will continuously assess and improve hazard identification and adherence to regulatory requirements and HHS Aviation company procedures, promoting a positive safety, security, and quality-focused culture while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.The Safety Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety / OSHA compliance, security guidelines and directives, and compliance with all pertinent customer and regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesDrive Safety Focus and Regulatory Compliance in all HHS Aviation operationsImplement new strategies to continuously improve the HHS Aviation safety and quality cultureAssist with new station operations start-ups and ensure adherence to company, customer, and regulatory requirementsMonitor the safety of all operations through audits, self-inspection, safety performance indicators, and compliance reports.
