Job summary

dnata is seeking an influential Safety Manager to develop, implement, and promote a safe working environment across our Northeast operations. You will lead a team of Safety Coordinators and coordinate with the Corporate Safety department to advance our One Safety program and proactive safety culture.

Responsibilities include overseeing safety policy implementation, hazard analysis, audits, and training delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum seven (7) years of experience in the aviation industry.
• Must possess/maintain a valid State driver’s license and FAA/Airport identifications.

Responsibilities

• Supports the implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
• Consults with departments on equipment, facilities, fire prevention, safety and environmental programs.
• Leads hazard and risk analysis and identifies mitigation methods.
• Performs assurance for classroom, on-the-job, and recurrent training activities.
• Conducts observations, inspections and audits; reports unsafe findings and recommends corrective actions.
• Ensures compliance with regulations and internal policies; supports investigations of near misses and incidents to determine root causes.
