Job summary

dnata USA is seeking an Area Safety Manager to coordinate with the Corporate HSE department and local management in developing and implementing safety programs, promoting a culture of safe practices, and maintaining an accident-free work environment in Orlando, FL.

You will lead a team, conduct inspections, manage training, ensure regulatory compliance, and report to the Senior Director of Safety, driving risk reduction across the organization.

Qualifications

• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Independent, decisive and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and web-based tools.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead field safety (EHSS&Q) inspections to ensure a safe work environment.
• Direct a team of Safety Managers/Coordinators and coordinate training.
• Review classes and MTRs, and verify on-the-job training.
• Coordinate and present safety training in all areas of safe working activities.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and reporting requirements.
• Advise management on mitigations and monitor corrective actions.
