Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee safety across all airport operations in the United States. You will develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting a culture of safety.

You will conduct audits, risk assessments, and trainings while collaborating with multiple departments to drive continuous safety improvements and prepare reports for senior management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of aviation safety management experience.
• Thorough knowledge of aviation safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically.
• Proven experience in safety program development and implementation.
• Eligibility to acquire required credentials/clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, etc.).
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and guidelines for airport operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations and standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of airport facilities and equipment.
• Identify and assess safety hazards and risks in airport operations.
• Collaborate with airport management and staff to address safety concerns.
• Provide safety training and education to employees at all levels.
• Investigate safety incidents and accidents, and recommend preventive measures.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and report on trends and improvements.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and safety advancements.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies for safety inspections and certifications.
• Lead safety improvement initiatives and promote a culture of safety awareness.
• Prepare and present safety reports to senior management and regulatory authorities.
