Job summary

ITT Aerospace Controls is seeking a Service Technician I to repair and overhaul aircraft components, actuators, pumps, and switches. The role involves disassembly, inspection, and assembly with attention to part drawings and electrical schematics.

Extensive training is provided, and a strong desire to learn new systems is essential. Applicants should have 1–2 years electro-mechanical experience, pass DOT/FAA testing, read CMMs, and be comfortable using precision tools and basic shop math.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional trade school a plus.
• 1–2 years electro-mechanical accessory experience; new graduates considered.
• Ability to read CMMs, part drawings, and schematics.
• Proficient with basic Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel).
• Able to perform basic shop math and electrical calculations.
• Experience in a repair/overhaul environment preferred.
• Must be able to pass DOT/FAA drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and assemble electronic components and actuators.
• Interpret CMMs, drawings, and specifications for continued airworthiness.
• Use hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and ESD equipment to ensure conformance.
• Build and test repaired components and sub-assemblies.
• Record labor time for each repair process.
• Inspect parts for cleanliness and defects; forward to QA or test as needed.
• Operate within ITAR requirements and maintain safety standards.
