Job summary

ITT Aerospace Controls is seeking a Service Technician I to perform repairs and overhauls on aircraft accessories. You will disassemble, inspect, repair and reassemble electronic components, actuators, pumps, valves and switches, following part drawings and schematics.

Extensive training will be provided to learn new systems. The role requires interpreting CMMs, electrical schematics, and instructions for continued airworthiness; overtime and some Saturdays may be required.

Qualifications

Must be willing to work overtime including some Saturday mornings.
1-2 years electro-mechanical accessory experience; new Aircraft & Powerplant graduates considered.
Must pass DOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol test.
Experience in a repair/overhaul environment.
Read and interpret CMMs, drawings, schematics, and specs.
High school diploma or trade certification or equivalent.
Computer literate; basic MS Office knowledge.
Must use precision tools and shop math accurately.

Responsibilities

Interpret Component Maintenance Manuals, blueprints, drawings, schematics, and specs.
Use hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and ESD equipment.
Build, test, and repair/overhaul aircraft components and sub-assemblies.
Clean, assemble, disassemble, and replace parts as required.
Record labor time for each process of repaired items.
Inspect all parts for cleanliness and flaws.
Send repaired products to test or QA final inspection.
Apply skills to new market opportunities as needed.
