Job summary

GAT Airline Ground Support is seeking dynamic individuals to join our ramp team in Key West, FL. This entry-level role offers an excellent way to begin a career in aviation, with comprehensive training and opportunities for advancement.

You will load and unload baggage, operate ground service equipment, and help prepare cabins for departure. Strong teamwork and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather are essential for success.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Fluent reading, speaking, and understanding of English.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Background check and pre-employment drug test required.

Responsibilities

Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage and cargo between aircraft and the airport.
Guide aircraft to gates to maintain on-time connections.
Protect baggage and equipment from damage, loss, and weather.
Operate ground equipment such as tugs, carts, and belt loaders.
Ensure ramp and baggage areas have equipment for upcoming flights.
Prepare aircraft cabins for departure, including cleaning and re-service tasks.
Record-keeping for baggage routing and documentation.
Follow safety guidelines and maintain safe work conditions.
Communicate with managers and lead agents to manage schedules.
Report equipment issues for quick repairs.
Perform duties for multiple carriers as assigned.
