Job summary

GAT Airline Ground Support is seeking dynamic, capable individuals to join our aviation team as Ramp Agents. No prior experience required; excellent entry point into the aviation industry.

You will load/unload baggage, operate ground equipment, prepare aircraft cabins for departure, and assist customers under variable weather and noise conditions. Role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and reliability with opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must read, speak, and understand English fluently.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer proficiency for record-keeping and baggage routing.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo from the aircraft to the airport.
• Guide aircraft to and from gate positions to maintain on-time connections.
• Protect baggage and equipment from damage, loss, and weather.
• Operate ground equipment such as tugs, cargo carts, service trucks, and belt loaders.
• Prepare the cabin for boarding, including cleaning seats, pockets, floors, galleys, and lavatories.
• Assist with record-keeping and documentation for baggage routing.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain safe working conditions.
• Communicate with managers and lead agents to manage daily schedules.
• Report equipment issues and breakdowns for quick repairs.
• Work with multiple carriers and perform other duties as assigned.
