Job summary

GAT Airline Ground Support is seeking dynamic individuals to join our ramp team in New York. This entry-level role offers paid training, uniforms, and a path into leadership positions within the company.

You will load/unload baggage, operate ground equipment, and prepare aircraft cabins for departure. The job requires teamwork, customer interaction, and the ability to work outdoors under varying weather and noise conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Basic computer proficiency for record-keeping.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Safely lift, load, and unload baggage and cargo from aircraft.
• Guide aircraft to gates to maintain on-time connections.
• Operate and manage ground equipment (tugs, carts, belt loaders).
• Prepare cabin for boarding and clean galleys and lavatories.
• Maintain safe working conditions and communicate with managers and lead agents.
• Work with multiple carriers and fulfill duties as assigned.
