Job summary

Collins Aerospace is hiring a Communications Center Radio Operator in Livermore, CA. You will manage air-to-ground and ground-to-air radio messages, provide excellent customer service, and support aviation communications for airline dispatchers, pilots, and ATC-related entities.

The role requires a strong typing speed, ability to work 24/7 shifts, and compliance with FCC permitting requirements. Onsite roles with opportunities to learn and grow in aviation communications.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
• Prior experience in customer service.
• Experience in radio communications, call center customer service, help desk, or radiodispatching.
• Familiarity with aeronautical communication terms.

Responsibilities

• Operate HF/VHF radio, computer, and telephone equipment to transcribe pilot communications in real time.
• Relay information to ARTC Centers, airlines, and other agencies.
• Assist with communications between aircraft and ground stations.
• Keep Aviation Voice Service Staff and ATC Facilities updated with in-flight information.
