Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Project Manager to lead aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul projects. You will coordinate with customers, manage work orders, submit FAA paperwork and keep projects on schedule to ensure successful completions.

Ideal candidates have 5-10 years of aviation MRO experience, strong organization, communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Airframe and Powerplant License beneficial.
• Aviation specific training beneficial.
• College education beneficial.
• Management, leadership and customer service training beneficial.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Dedication to assigned projects, ensuring each customer leaves impressed.
• Pre-arrival coordination of projects and arrival de-briefs.
• Plan and coordinate aircraft work-flow with schedule calendars as needed.
• Act as central point of contact for customers and West Star personnel.
• Work independently on projects and coordinate multiple projects as assigned.
• Collaborate with Sales and Contracts for assigned aircraft and post‑departure follow up.
• Communicate clearly in English and adhere to FAA safety guidelines.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
