Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson in Charleston, SC seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary civil engineering projects. You will manage scope, schedules, budgets, and client communications, while directing staff and subconsultants to deliver quality results on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, ABET-degree in engineering, 10+ years in heavy civil/aviation projects, and strong leadership with proven project management, BD and proposal experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of experience in civil engineering, aviation preferred.
• Heavy civil transportation experience required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors schedules, budgets, accounts receivable and manpower requirements and prepares invoices.
• Develop Project Management plans for assigned projects
• Establish project pricing and budgets
• Create and maintain project schedules
• Develop and maintain project specific quality plans
• Develop and coordinate project scope
• Manage subconsultants
• Participate in client presentations
• Oversee and manage assigned staff working on project
• Manage all technical resources on the project team
• Development of extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals
• Coordinate and assist Section Heads, Office Managers, and Practice Leaders with marketing proposals
• Lead and manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meeting, coaching) that supports the growth and development of team
