Job summary

STV Construction Incorporated seeks an Assistant Project Manager - Aviation to support our aviation client on-site in Austin, TX or San Antonio, TX. The role collaborates with the PM/CM team to guide design and construction, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure safety and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management, with strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills to coordinate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
• Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and a track record in project management techniques, concepts, principles, and standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels internally and externally to establish credibility on project teams.
• Knowledge and ability to creatively resolve issues as they arise.
• Knowledge and ability to supervise people including recruitment, training, performance management, and people development.
• High proficiency with general Microsoft applications, including MS Project and Share Point.
• Demonstrated experience with project management software and applications.
• Ability to forecast project challenges and define solutions to maintain compliance with safety protocols, quality, schedule and budget

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in leading the project team and setting goals.
• Develop policies and procedures to guide the project/program and mentor team members.
• Monitor design and construction activities to ensure compliance with contracts and standards.
• Forecast, analyze budgets, cash flow, and cost estimates; review POs, change orders, and invoices.
• Maintain client, consultant, contractor, and vendor relationships and manage risk.
• Communicate complex ideas and persuade leadership to support project positions.
• Guide evaluation and implementation of standards and procedures for project success.
