Job summary

Stantec’s Airports team in New York City seeks an Aviation Project Manager to grow the NYC Aviation group, win, manage, and deliver projects for major hub airports and DoD facilities.

The role involves leading projects from scoping through close-out, coordinating teams, and interfacing with clients while expanding activity in the Northeast and beyond. Telecommuting is allowed up to 2 days/week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of design, project management, or construction administration experience relating to airport infrastructure.
• Must have an active U.S. Professional Engineer license (NY or NJ preferred).
• Strong aviation infrastructure design experience and client interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Interfacing directly with clients including Airport Authorities and DoD representatives.
• Lead design objectives and advance airport projects through completion and close-out.
• Prepare Scope of Services, fees, goals, milestones and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with design team on deliverables using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepare grant administration paperwork for FAA AIP and State grants.
• Mentor staff and lead proposals and qualifications.
