Stantec’s Albany office is seeking an Aviation Project Manager to help grow the Albany Aviation group and manage projects for commercial service airports, general aviation airports, and DoD facilities within our Airport Infrastructure Sub-sector.

You will lead projects from scoping through construction, collaborate with the Albany Aviation Team Leader, and work on airfield pavements, CIP planning, and grant administration while growing the team and expanding client relations across New York and

Aufgaben

• Interface directly with clients that include various Airport Authorities, State Aviation Authorities, and Department of Defense representatives.
• Learn and maintain an in-depth knowledge of clients’ needs and standards and upcoming CIP projects.
• Lead design objectives and advance airport projects through completion and final close-out.
• Prepare project Scope of Services and engineering fees, establish project goals, milestones, and procedures, define roles and responsibilities, coordinate project resources, and monitor project progress.
• Work with the design team on deliverables, including drawings utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, prepare project specifications and construction cost estimates.
• Prepare grant administration paperwork for FAA’s Airport Improvement Program (AIP), as well as State grant administration.
• Provide guidance to Resident Engineers during construction with the ability to solve problems as needed.
• Lead the preparation of proposals and statements of qualifications.
• Actively participate in the marketing process by delivering quality work, providing excellent client service, and assisting with project pursuits.
• Take an active mentoring role; encourages, motivates, and develops others for high performance; ensures that mistakes become learning experiences.
