Job summary

Ardurra in Boise, ID is seeking an experienced Aviation Project Engineer to join our Aviation Group. The role focuses on airfield civil design, coordination with project teams, and ensuring quality design for airport projects.

Required: Civil engineering degree, 5+ years in airport consulting/engineering, knowledge of FAA advisory circulars, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D. PE preferred but not required; travel will be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 5+ years minimum experience in airport consulting/engineering.
• Strong knowledge of FAA advisory circulars related to airport design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• PE license is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Act as design lead for airfield civil construction projects while working with EITs and project team members.
• Oversee and mentor EITs in grading, pavement, marking design and airport construction safety.
• Coordinate with owners, internal staff, and subconsultants through the project life cycle.
• Present design concepts, alternatives, and solutions during client reviews.
• Act as design lead during the bidding process.
• Participate in construction inspection and oversight as lead inspector or technical support.
